Demonstration Against Iraqi Occupation  Kuwaiti women staged protests during the early days of the occupation. Women played a major role in resisting Iraq's takeover of Kuwait. On August 8, Iraqi troops fired on the marchers and killed Sanaa Al-Foudari and an Iranian man who rushed to her aid. (See also , , and .)
